We adopted a 4 year old Maltese mix with behavior issues, and that was the reason he was given up. My husband & I felt his next step was a shelter if we didn't take him or worse. We are so grateful we found Smart Dogs and Kristy. After just one session in our home, within two days, our dog Kilo has changed for the better.

After 3 sessions of training we formed an opinion that Ian is gifted! We have a 100 pound American Bulldog that we were terrified we'd have to give up to someone younger and stronger. A friend told me about smart dogs. He no longer bites my husband nor is he aggressive. We will continue his training and we are grateful for their help. We have a loving, high energy dog (Piper) that had anxiety and obedience issues. After 10 days with Ian and Kristy, we have a new and improved Piper. We still have a loving high energy dog, but one that is focused on being a responsible part of the family. Thank you Smart Dogs Training and Lodging!

Kristy and Ian Dilworth at Smart Dogs trained our 4 year old teacup poodle, and we couldn't be happier! We sent Meesha to doggie boot camp, and the results were wonderful. She was a stubborn little 4 lb. spitfire, but with consistency, knowledge, and a firm but gentle touch, Meesha is a calmer, happier, and a well behaved dog!

We were so lucky to have found Smart Dogs! Jack had a lot of energy and not much self-control. He did great with the training and he received all four degrees, including his Doctorate. He is now Therapy Dog certified and comes everywhere with us, including work and school! We continue to take him there anytime we go out of town. We wouldn't leave him anywhere else.
